Start thinking of "back to school" marketing (our schools here start in August)...like an ad for painting a free tile (while supplies last) in the local high school paper to "unstress, meet friends and unwind now that summer is over) Or a certificate at the local elementary school for each child to come in with their parent and the child can paint a free tile so the fun days with mom aren't over...bring in your mom, you paint a free tile, and discuss your new teacher while sharing time together....if the child gets something
free, mom will bring them in and probably paint too...remember you can get tiles for under 50 cents so it isn't a costly ad to get people in your store and you may be reaching an audience who has never heard of your store so you get repeat customers who may not have come in otherwise. You can also say
something on your coupon like "Paint Yer Pottery supports Brentfield Elementary!" so you are more likely to get them passed out by the school.

If you have 16 oz bottles you can display your paints in a wine rack with the color tiles showing how they fire on the lid. This also keeps your paints sideways so you don't have to bang on them as much to get the paint to come out and it looks very "hip".

I have tips that have been sent in by other studios but I am moving into a new
house so they are packed somewhere in this valley of boxes. I will try to unearth them for next month! They were all good so please don't think I didn't post them for that reason!

See you at the convention!
