Paintin' for Pets Night Release ( Also send this to animal publications and post in pet stores)
Come in and enjoy free people treats, take home some pet treats and personalize a dog or cat bowl as you paint with other animal lovers.  10% of all profits will be given to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Friday Night Lock-ins ( Press Release )
Art Lessons for kids on scheduled Fridays ( better than a baby sitter! We do art together!) from 7:30 to 10:00pm while parents go grab an evening by themselves. Set fee. Reservations required.

Mother and Daughter Tea Party for Painting: This filled both my new party room ( seats 25) and the entire front of my studio ( seats 35 ) and I still had to turn people away!  Offer free finger foods, tea, cider, and door prizes.  We served finger sandwiches ( cream cheese and cucumber, pimiento cheese, pb&j, apples with caramel dip, assorted Halloween cookies, lemon poppy seed bread, cheese and crackers... no forks and knives needed.  Then we had to coffee makers with hot water and lots of different teas, hot chocolate and cider to choose from.  Moms and daughters of all ages attended.

Pottery for Pop
For Father's day we had an afternoon that the local papers wrote all about.... All moms coming in to paint received one free tile for a child to paint for father's day..  This could work for other holidays as well.

Charity Day: My bisque suppliers are donating bisque for Christmas for an evening for children in an orphanage. I donate the paint and firing. This will also run in the papers... and the pottery doesn't have to be entirely perfect.. ( though my suppliers are donating top quality pieces.)  I am mentioning them in all write ups as an exchange)  If you cannot get your suppliers to do this, use broken pieces with holes drilled in them to create cool wind chimes or mobiles.  The Purple Glaze in Dallas, TX sells all their broken pieces to make mobiles and they are fabulous hanging in the window.

Also.... contact all the singles organizations.  They put out newsletters with the places their members will be meeting every week and they pay for small pieces for their singles to come to my store on a scheduled night...  singles have disposable time and income.  Singles pay thousands of dollars to become members of these organizations)  The planned singles outings have become a huge success at my store, resulting in lots of repeat customers... who would have never tried pottery painting if their organization had not paid for the first time.
